Christine J. Harris – Food and Mood: When What You Eat is Eating You
Christine J. Harris, M.S., L.M.F.T., C.B.T. Certified Bioenergetic Therapist, presents an expanded, wholistic view of how our food impacts our mood. This presentation is for you and your family as well as your patients. Simple, yet powerful, changes in what kind of nourishment we provide for ourselves and our families impacts the quality of our daily experience.
The field of mental health is fortunately being impacted positively by the advances in functional and integrative medicine. It is no longer acceptable to treat symptoms like depression and anxiety with just talk therapy and psychotropic medications. It is now very clear that our mental health is impacted by what we eat, or don’t eat. Our gut health impacts neurotransmitters, that impact our mood and thinking. And that’s just the start.
Christine is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in private practice in Littleton, CO. She is also a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Certified Bioenergetic Therapist (a form of somatic psychotherapy). She has been a student of nutrition and health for most of her life. And she is currently studying Functional Nutrition and Mental Health.
She lives in Castle Pines with her family. She enjoys skiing, off road motorcycling, bicycling, hiking with her twin daughters and her “badass motorcycle chics” in the mountains of Colorado.
